Payment is by credit/debit card (a small charge of
3% will be levied on all credit card and non UK debit card transactions
to cover costs), cheque or by cash, and we ask for
a non refundable deposit of 50% of the first night's
booking when the reservation is made.
For guests coming from overseas we ask for a non-refundable
deposit of 50% of the whole stay.
For guests booking within a week of the stay the
whole accomodation fee is taken and is non-refunadable.
Please note that we will charge the full amount due
in the case of a late cancellation (less than 7 days
from 4.00pm on the arrival date) where we are unable
to re-let the rooms, or due to a no show.
We respectfully remind guests that a reservation constitutes
a contract and cancellation causes loss to small establishments.
However, if the guests rebook at a later date the
deposit paid will be carried forward.
Guests are welcomed anytime after 4pm, (unless by
special arrangement), and are asked to vacate their
rooms by 11.00am on the morning of departure.
Please note that Uplands House is a non-smoking establishment.
